Crochet Made With Love — Want to Order? Comment Below or DM Me 💗🧶
There is something quietly magical about handmade crochet. In a world overflowing with fast fashion and mass-produced everything, a piece of crochet carries something no factory can replicate — the warmth of someone’s hands, the care of counted stitches, and the intention behind every single loop. Whether you stumbled across this post looking for a unique gift, a cozy addition to your wardrobe, or something truly one of a kind for your home, you are in exactly the right place.
I have been crocheting for years, and what started as a hobby tucked into quiet evenings has grown into something I am genuinely passionate about sharing with others. Every item I make is crafted with real attention to detail, quality yarn, and a whole lot of love. If anything in this post catches your eye, all you have to do is drop a comment below or send me a DM — and we can make something beautiful together. 🫶🏻
Why Handmade Crochet Is Worth Every Penny
Before we dive into what I offer, I want to take a moment to talk about why handmade crochet is genuinely special — because I think it matters when you are deciding where to spend your money.
When you buy a crochet item from a maker like me, you are not just buying a product. You are buying hours of skilled work. A single crochet sweater can take anywhere from eight to twenty hours depending on the size and stitch complexity. A detailed market bag might take three hours. A cozy blanket? Easily thirty or more. These are not exaggerated numbers — they are just the reality of working stitch by stitch, row by row, until something beautiful comes together.
You are also buying quality. I am selective about the yarn I use because I know that the feel of a finished piece is everything. Scratchy yarn ruins even the most beautiful pattern. I choose materials that are soft, durable, and appropriate for the item — breathable cotton for summer tops and dishcloths, plush acrylic blends for blankets and stuffed animals that need to hold up to washing, and luxurious wool or alpaca blends for pieces meant to really impress.
And you are buying something no one else in the world has in exactly the same way. Even when I make the same pattern twice, the result is never perfectly identical. There are tiny variations — a slightly different tension here, a color choice there — that make each piece genuinely unique. That is not a flaw. That is the soul of handmade.
What I Make and Sell
My shop covers a wide range of crochet items, and I am always expanding what I offer based on what my customers love most. Here is a look at some of my most popular categories.
Wearables and Accessories
Crochet wearables have had such a beautiful resurgence in recent years, and I am here for it completely. I make cropped tops, cardigans, bucket hats, beanies, ear warmers, mittens, and fingerless gloves. These pieces work beautifully as everyday wear or as gifts for someone who appreciates fashion with a handmade twist.
My beanies are a particular favorite — they make excellent gifts and I can customize them in virtually any color. If you have a specific color palette in mind, a favorite sports team’s colors, or a particular style you have seen on Pinterest, reach out and let’s chat. I love working from inspiration photos.
Home Décor and Cozy Living
This is where crochet really shines for a lot of people. There is something about a handmade crochet item in a home that immediately makes a space feel warmer and more personal. I make throw blankets, pillow covers, table runners, coasters, plant hangers, wall hangings, and more.
My throw blankets are among my most requested items. They take significant time and care to complete, but the result is an heirloom-quality piece that can genuinely last decades when cared for properly. If you are looking for a meaningful wedding gift, a baby shower present, or something to treat yourself with this season, a custom crochet blanket is one of the most thoughtful things you can give or receive.
Bags and Market Totes
Crochet bags are having a major fashion moment right now, and honestly, they have never really gone out of style. I make a variety of bags including market totes, mesh beach bags, small clutches, crossbody bags, and mini bags. These are functional, fashionable, and surprisingly sturdy when made well.
The great thing about crochet bags is how customizable they are. Want a bag in a specific color to match an outfit? Want a monogram or a particular size? Just ask. Most of my bag designs can be adapted easily.
Stuffed Animals and Amigurumi
If you have never encountered amigurumi before, prepare to fall in love. These are small crocheted stuffed animals and characters, and they are absolutely precious. I make a range of animals, seasonal characters, and custom designs on request. These are especially popular as baby gifts, nursery decorations, and keepsakes for children.
I do take custom amigurumi orders, so if you have a specific animal or character in mind — a beloved pet, a child’s favorite animal, even a tiny version of someone’s dog — feel free to reach out and describe what you are looking for.
Seasonal and Holiday Items
Throughout the year I release seasonal collections that celebrate different holidays and times of year. Think cozy autumn pumpkins and harvest wreaths, Christmas ornaments and stockings, spring florals, and summer sun hats. These limited items go fast, so following along and checking in regularly is the best way to snag them before they are gone.
Custom Orders: Let’s Make Something Just for You
One of my absolute favorite parts of selling crochet is the custom order process. There is something so satisfying about collaborating with someone to create exactly what they have been envisioning. I genuinely love it, and I want to make it as easy and enjoyable for you as possible.
Here is how it generally works. You reach out to me — either by commenting on this post or sending me a DM — and you tell me what you have in mind. Maybe you have a photo saved, or a vague idea, or just a color you love and a category you want to shop in. Any starting point is fine. We will have a conversation, I will ask a few questions to understand what you are looking for, and I will give you a quote and a realistic timeline.
I ask for a deposit upfront for custom orders, typically around fifty percent of the total, with the remainder due before I ship. This protects both of us — it ensures I can purchase the right materials without upfront loss, and it means you have a financial stake in the process so we are both committed to seeing it through beautifully.
Once I start your piece, I love to share progress photos. It is exciting to watch something come together, and it gives you the chance to weigh in if anything needs adjusting before it is finished. Communication is everything in a custom order relationship, and I am always happy to hear your thoughts along the way.
Gifting Ideas: Crochet for Every Occasion
People often underestimate how versatile handmade crochet is as a gift, and I want to change that. Let me walk you through some of the most popular gifting occasions I create for regularly.
Baby Showers and New Arrivals
Crochet and babies go together like nothing else. A handmade baby blanket, a soft stuffed animal, a little set of booties — these are gifts that parents genuinely treasure. Baby items are among the most sentimental crochet pieces because they are often kept for years, passed down, and looked back on with so much warmth. If someone you love is expecting, a custom crochet gift is a genuinely meaningful choice.
Birthdays
A handmade birthday gift says something that a store-bought present simply cannot. It says that someone took the time, made something personal, and thought about what the recipient would actually love. Whether it is a cozy cardigan in someone’s favorite color, a personalized tote bag, or a plushie of their pet, a crochet birthday gift tends to be remembered long after the day itself.
Weddings and Anniversaries
Crochet makes beautiful wedding gifts, particularly blankets and home décor pieces. A custom wedding blanket with the couple’s wedding colors or initials incorporated into the design is something truly special. It is practical, beautiful, and completely personal. For anniversaries, especially milestone ones, a handmade piece carries a weight of meaning that jewelry and gift cards rarely match.
Holidays
Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and any other gift-giving holiday you can think of — crochet fits beautifully into all of them. I often recommend starting conversations about holiday orders well in advance, particularly for Christmas, because peak season fills up fast and quality handmade work cannot be rushed.
Just Because
Honestly, some of the most beautiful gifts have no occasion at all. They are just a way of saying “I was thinking of you and wanted you to have something lovely.” Crochet is perfect for that kind of spontaneous, heartfelt gifting.
Caring for Your Crochet Items
I want every piece you receive from me to last as long as possible, so here is a quick guide to caring for your crochet items well.
The most important thing is to check the yarn content of your piece and follow the fiber’s care instructions. Most acrylic yarns are machine washable, which makes them wonderfully practical. Cotton is also usually machine washable, though a cool or warm cycle on gentle is best. Wool and more delicate fibers typically need hand washing in cool water with a gentle soap, followed by pressing out water gently (never wringing) and laying flat to dry.
Laying flat to dry is something I recommend for almost all crochet wearables regardless of fiber, because hanging a wet sweater or hat can stretch it out of shape. For blankets and totes, you have a bit more flexibility, but flat or draped drying is still gentler than machine drying when possible.
Store your crochet items folded rather than hanging when possible. Heavier pieces like blankets can stretch under their own weight if stored on a hanger for extended periods. For amigurumi and decorative pieces, keep them away from direct prolonged sunlight if you want the colors to stay vivid over time.
Treated well, a quality crochet piece will hold up beautifully for years, even decades. That is part of what makes it such a worthwhile investment.
A Note on Pricing
I know that handmade crochet can sometimes come as a surprise when people see the price compared to a mass-produced alternative at a big box store. I want to be transparent about why I price the way I do, because I think understanding it helps people feel confident in their purchase.
Handmade pricing reflects the cost of quality materials, the hours of skilled labor involved, and the value of something made with genuine care and attention. When I make a piece, I am not running a machine — I am sitting down, picking up yarn and a hook, and creating something with my own hands over hours of time. That skill has real value.
I strive to price fairly — which means fair to you as a customer and fair to me as a maker. I am not the cheapest option out there, and I am also not trying to be. I am trying to offer beautiful, high-quality, thoughtfully made items at prices that reflect what they genuinely are.
If you have questions about pricing or want to discuss a budget for a custom order, please just ask. I am always happy to have that conversation openly.
How to Order
Ready to get something made just for you? Here is all you need to do.
Drop a comment on this post with what you are interested in, or send me a direct message. Tell me what you are looking for, any colors or size preferences you have, and whether it is a gift or a treat for yourself. I respond to every message, usually within a day or so, and I genuinely love hearing from people who are excited about crochet.
From there we will sort out the details together — the specifics of the design, the timeline, the pricing, and how to handle payment. The whole process is casual and friendly, because that is just how I like to work. You are not filling out a complicated form or waiting on hold with a customer service line. You are talking to the actual person who will be making your item, stitch by stitch, with care.
I ship carefully and with love, wrapping pieces thoughtfully so they arrive in beautiful condition. And I always welcome photos once your item arrives — there is nothing that makes my day quite like seeing something I made out in the world being enjoyed.
